Library Story Time

This morning, Amelia attended her first story time at the Mt. Laurel Library.  I wasn't sure what to expect, because my precious girl is ALWAYS in motion.  We decided to give it a shot.  We chose Mt. Laurel's story time because it is very small and wouldn't be so overwhelming for Amelia.  It was actually so small that Amelia was the only attendee today.  She had all of the attention of Ms. Kristy and enjoyed every bit of it.  Amelia enjoyed the songs and bubbles, but she wasn't sure about the puppet (just like her mommy), story, or having to sit on a carpet square.  Ms. Kristy was fine with letting her move around while she read and even had Amelia come up and point things out in the book to her.  I knew Amelia had been there long enough (30 minutes) when she walked over, grabbed the diaper bag strap, and said, "car".  She then turned to Ms. Kristy and told her bye.  :)  Ms. Kristy said that she was very impressed with Amelia.  She thought she was much more advanced than others her age with the exception of her expressive language (which we know is not her strong point).  She liked how Amelia studied things and paid close attention to what she was doing the entire time.  Ms. Kristy hopes that we will come back next time, and I think we will do our best to put this in our schedule.
