Travel Plans

We finally were able to confirm travel plans today and are planning to fly out at 6:45 Friday morning.  Connecting flights will be made in Tokyo, Japan and we will have an overnight stay in Shanghai before arriving in Chongqing.  Amelia will be in our arms on Monday morning.  It will be a wonderful Christmas present to receive her on Christmas Eve!  As of now, our return flight will be on January 5th at 9:20 pm into Birmingham.  There is a possibility that we may not be able to have a consulate date on January 3rd.  It seems that a printer is broken in China, and they are not able to confirm our appointment.  Please be in prayer that we will be able to have our consulate appointment on the 3rd and fly home on the 5th.  If we are unable to make the consulate appointment on the 3rd, the next consulate date will be on the 7th.  We will have to make flight arrangements to come home on the 9th.  There is a lot up in the air right now, but we are praying that God will guide us and plan our trip for us.  We know that He is control (as much as I am failing to control everything right now) and that we are to trust in Him to see us through this adoption process.  The positive point in all of this is that we will have Amelia in our arms on Monday no matter what, and if it takes us a month to return home from China, she will be with us, and we will just deal with it.  We ask that you please pray for us as we travel.  We especially ask for your prayers for Amelia as she prepares to leave the only real "home" that she knows and join her new family who have loved her for much longer than she will ever know.
