Last night, friends and family threw us a fantastic baby shower for Amelia. We are so overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and generosity that has been shown to us. We LOVE that everyone is celebrating our excitement about this adoption and are as ready as we are to have Amelia home! This shower was a little different in that David and I did not open presents there. Instead, we opened them together this afternoon after church. We appreciate all the kindnesses that have been shown and are so grateful for everyone's thoughtfulness! After opening the presents, we began the daunting task of putting away all of Amelia's new things. It was overwhelming! I knew that we had received many gifts from the combination of showers, but until you try to find a home for everything, you have no idea what all you have been given!
Here are some pictures of the night. There would have been more, but I completely forgot that I brought my camera until a little before the party was over. I was having way too much fun visiting with everyone to remember to run around and take pictures. :)
