Ni Hao Chongqing

David and I are now in the same city as Amelia.  After much traveling, we and our luggage, made it safely.  We had some time to explore the area around our hotel today.  This city is huge and the people are very interesting.  We went to the supermarket next to our hotel and there is an entire aisle devoted just to beef jerky.  Crazy!  We ate spicy hot pot for dinner tonight.  It is a local speciality.  No one seems to speak English, so our guide took us to a certain restaurant this afternoon and we preordered with her.  David and I arrived at the restaurant and ate the dinner we had ordered earlier.  There was a TON of food, and we barely put a dent in it.

Tonight, we are going to bed early.  Tomorrow, we will meet our guide in the lobby of our hotel at 1:30 and travel 25 minutes to the government building of marriage and adoption.  The nanny and orphanage director will bring Amelia there to meet us at 2:00.  I can hardly believe that we are about to a become a family!  On Tuesday, we will have Chinese court and finalize paperwork here.  On Wednesday, we are scheduled to go to the Chongqing zoo.  Thursday, we will tour the orphanage and take a tour of the harbor and museum.  Our guide, May, is unsure if we will be able to go to Amelia's finding spot because it is very far away from us in the city.

I will update tomorrow after we have Amelia!
