Spring Break 2015: Paris, France

After waiting for two hours for our train to arrive in Antwerp to take us to Paris, the schedule board finally said it was officially cancelled.  We raced to the international ticket counter and asked to be put on the next train to Paris.  Unfortunately, that meant we had to take a train to Brussels where we had 7 minutes to transfer trains.  We booked the tickets and raced to the platform, barely making the train to Brussels.  It was an adventure!  We arrived in Brussels and realized we had 5 minutes to RUN from platform 6 to platform 24 to make our train (that included 3 flights of stairs)!  Amelia fell asleep 10 minutes before we arrived, but we managed to wake her up and have her run with us.  We literally stepped onto the train and the buzzer sounded signaling the doors to close.  We didn't even make it to a seat!  After a restful hour and a half, we made it to the Paris train station.  Instead of trying to figure out the bus or metro schedule, we simply got in line for a taxi.  It was the easiest thing to do after an exhausting day of travel.  We were thrilled to see Micah waiting at the door.
Waiting on our train to arrive, but it never did.

Reading the paper on a new train.

A windmill!

Amelia was tuckered out after waiting so patiently.

We finally made it to Paris!!!

Luxembourg Gardens

Amelia had the BEST time playing on this playground in Luxembourg Gardens.

Notre Dame

We were very safe in Paris.

Amelia had a great time taking pictures with my phone and then showing us what she took.

Amelia learned how to use my big camera.  Isn't this the cutest!

Home of the best hot chocolate in the world!!!

Yummy!

A little carousel ride near the Eiffel Tower

Amelia ate pate' and liked the "dip".
Heading home.

Amelia pitched a big fit when it was time to leave Paris.  She was not happy about going home.

We had such a wonderful trip and are so thankful that we are able to show Amelia the world.  She absolutely loved traveling and asked me several times why we had to live in Birmingham.  :)
