Hong Kong

Today, we spent most of the day packing. We were also able to run to the market to get a few last minute items that we thought we needed. Amelia's passport and visa arrived around 4:00 allowing us to be able to depart Guangzhou and head to Hong Kong to begin the final leg of our journey. The drive to Hong Kong was difficult for Amelia. She was tired because I woke her up from her nap. We thought we would arrive in Hong Kong earlier than we did, so we did not pack dinner. She was starving and the snacks were not working. We finally made the three hour drive in rush hour traffic.

We arrived in Hong Kong tonight and have settled in our hotel at the airport. We ate dinner at the hotel and probably spent major bucks on it. Amelia had Mac and cheese for the first time, but it wasn't the same as our southern version. Our flight leaves early tomorrow morning, and we will go back in time to arrive in Birmingham tomorrow night after 27 hours of travel. Please pray that we are all able to handle it!

Hong Kong to Tokyo - Delta DL 0156 arriving at 1:15 pm
Tokyo to Seattle - DL 0156 arriving at 7:05 am
Seattle to Detroit - DL 0018 arriving at 7:09 pm
Detroit to Birmingham - DL 3671 - arriving at 9:20 pm

I hope that all makes sense. This is in case any family members want to check out arrivals and departures. We hope to see anyone at the airport that would like to come. Bring a camera or video camera, please. :)
