When each grandchild in the family reaches the age of five, they get to work on a special project with Paw Paw. He decided that each grandchild would get to build a birdhouse with him. They pick the plan, build, and paint their house while spending the weekend with their grandparents. Amelia is five, and she was able to have her turn building her birdhouse. This was a much anticipated event. They talked about it for months before her birthday, and the weekend finally came. Poppy picked Amelia up, and they headed to Lowe's to pick out the perfect paint colors - blue and yellow. The next morning, a plan was made, and the building began. Daddy found the perfect tree in front of house to hang it on, and now Amelia waits for a family of birds to move in.
