The Pumpkin Patch

After church today, we headed to the pumpkin patch with the Huang family.  It was such a beautiful afternoon and the girls had a great time together.  Amelia loves "pumpins" and was very excited about the tractor ride to the pumpkin patch.  For those of you who are not aware, Amelia is obsessed with modes of transportation.  She pointed out ever motorcycle on the way to Clanton and was super excited about the tractor ride.

We arrived at the Pumpkin Patch, and Amelia is very excited about it!

Walking through the sunflowers...

It is rare to catch a smile with the camera.  She does not like having her picture taken.

First glimpse of the tractor!

Enjoying some huge pumpkins

Admiring the tractor

Amelia loves the little pumpkins because they are not very heavy.

The Huangs arrive

Amelia and Ella pick up rocks while waiting our turn to board the hay ride

She's very excited about the tractor ride

Watching for the tractor

Still waiting and watching

We make it to the patch

Amelia finds two pumpkins right away, but she decides to take the smaller one with the great stem.

She finds a second pumpkin to take with her because Daddy is carrying the first pumpkin.

Amelia is eying a third pumpkin...

Daddy puts all three together and explains that she has to pick ONE pumpkin.

Can you guess what's she's saying?

Why do I have to pick just one????

She kisses the big pumpkin goodbye and narrows the choices to the two little ones.  Amelia ends up with the small orange pumpkin (her first choice).

What's Ella doing?

Ella is trying to pick ANOTHER pumpkin.

We're back on the tractor ride!

Doesn't she looks SOOOO happy

We got a snack after the ride.  I tried her on a funnel cake, but she didn't love it.  She really liked the boiled peanuts and corn.

This little girl needs a BIG NAP!

A sweet picture of the girls

Isn't this so sweet!  They are holding hands and Ella is showing Amelia this sunflower.

The daddies carried the girls to the car.  Ella and Amelia were chatting with each other the entire time.  It was so precious!

We asked for a front facing picture, too.

We had a fabulous afternoon at the pumpkin patch and look forward to going again next year!
