May School Activities

I'm a little late in posting Amelia's field trip to Old Baker Farm and her end of the year music program at school.

Amelia went on a field trip to Old Baker Farm. She was suppose to go during pumpkin time in October, but her trip was rained out. They rescheduled it for May when the baby animals would be old enough to watch. Amelia loved watching and feeding the baby animals, but she was hesitant about petting them. Her favorite part of the trip was washing her hands in the sink system they had set up. She must have washed them 20 times while we were there!

The neat sink system they had set up for washing hands. Amelia loved it!

Amelia's end of the year music program took place the last week of the school year. She has had such an amazing 4k experience. Amelia told us she didn't smile during the performance, because she couldn't see where we were sitting and got worried that we weren't there. She perked up when she found us! After a nice reception after the program, Amelia was thrilled to be able to go back to work with me!

Can you find her?

Class picture after the program.

Silly picture, but they are best friends!

Their daddies grew up together and now they are, too.

...and now Kindergarten!

Welcome Baby Charlie

On the evening June 15th while Amelia slept, her new baby cousin, Charlie, was born. He weighed 8 pounds 2 ounces and was 21 inches long. We were able to visit Aunt Lauren and Uncle Tyler and meeting Charlie in the hospital the next day. Amelia was super excited and little wild during our visit, but she loved finally meeting him. She also really liked taking pictures of everyone holding Baby Charlie.

Ballet Recital 2016

Amelia danced in her second ballet recital yesterday. It was titled "Spirit of America", and she was a firecracker. While getting ready yesterday morning, Amelia told me she was embarrassed about her recital. I asked her why she was embarrassed, and her response was that she didn't want everyone staring at her. I explained that what she was feeling was nerves and only her family would be watching her; everyone else would be watching their little girl dance and not her. I don't think she was convinced because she replied, "I'm still embarrassed about it."

She was tremendously excited to be able to wear makeup (blush and lip gloss) and hair spray! Her rainbow tutu was also a big bonus!

A very excited little girl before the performance.

She was a little shy when they first got on stage, but then her personality really started to shine! Excuse the dark pictures, we weren't allowed to use flash photographer, and I haven't edited anything.

Look at that jump!

Family and friends enjoyed the performance by our little ballerina.

A few more shots when we got home. Amelia stayed in the costume ALL DAY!

We are so proud of our precious girl!
