Amelia's Room



I have been working on Amelia's bedroom and playroom for a while.  Here is what we have so far. 






Here are pictures of the playroom.  It seems to be constantly changing, but here are the pictures I have so far.  My nephew has already broken in most of the toys and I am pleased to say that he approves.

  • April 2009 - Began praying about the adoption process for China
  • July 16, 2009 - Met with Lily and Lifeline Families
  • July 17, 2009 - Met with Lifeline Executive Director
  • July 20, 2009 - Turned in application
  • July 24, 2009- First home study and fingerprints
  • July 29, 2009 - Doctor's appointment for physicals
  • July 31, 2009 - Second home study
  • August 7, 2009 - Third home study
  • August 13, 200 - Individual home studies
  • August 15, 2009 - Fourth home study
  • August 25, 2009 - Fifth home study
  • September 10, 2009 - Fingerprints were mailed to Lifeline
  • September 15, 2009 - Received fingerprints and FBI/ABI clearance
  • September 25, 2009 - Paperwork sent for DHR approval
  • October 7, 2009 - 1-800 sent for approval
  • October 13, 2009 - Sent paperwork for final approval
  • October 14, 2009 - DHR approved paperwork and sent to Immigration
  • October 23, 2009 - Immigration confirmed receipt of paperwork
  • October 31, 2009 - Received Immigration confirmation to take for biometric fingerprinting
  • November 2, 2009 - Received biometric fingerprinting appointment 
  • November 12, 2009 - Biometric fingerprinting
  • November 27, 2009 - Immigration Approval
  • December 15, 2009 - Dossier sent to China!!!
  • December 21, 2009 - LID
  • February 2011 - Updated 1-800 paperwork
  • May 2012 - Updated 1-800 paperwork
  • May 24, 2012 - Home study - discussed changing to Medical Special Needs Program because Lifeline is sponsoring nine new orphanages beginning in July.  
  • July 2, 2012 - Biometric fingerprinting for updated 1-800 paperwork
  • July 20, 2012 - Lifeline Travel Class 
  • July 25, 2012 - Visa application submitted 
  • September 26, 2012 - Received Referral
  • September 27, 2012 - Accepted Referral
  • September 28, 2012 - Letter of Intent sent to China for Pre-Approval 
  • October 12, 2012 - PA
  • October 16, 2012 - LOA!
  • October 16, 2012 - I-800 sent to Homeland Security
  • October 25, 2012 - I-800 receipt received from Homeland Security 
  • November 14, 2012 - I-800 Approved, sent to National Visa Center (NVC)
  • November 20, 2012 - GUZ number assigned 
  • November 21, 2012 - I-800 cabled to Guangzhou
  • November 23, 2012 - Received a copy of the PDF letter confirming paperwork was cabled 
  • November 26, 2012 - Article 5 submitted 
  • December 11, 2012 - Article 5 Approval; paperwork sent to China for Travel Approval 
  • December 17, 2012 - TA (Travel Approval)
  • December 20, 2012 - Consulate Appointment Confirmed
  • December 21, 2012 - Leave for China
  • December 24, 2012 - Gotcha Day!
  • December 25, 2012 - Chinese Court
  • January 3, 2013 - Consulate Appointment
  • January 5, 2013 - Arrive home
